How to Survive Finals Week

1. Get Organized

Don’t leave things to the last minute. Write down all your due dates for assignments, papers, etc.  Make sure to check your syllabus for your finals scheduled time and day.

2. Turn everything off

Yes I mean everything.  Everything and anything that will distract you.  Even if you have to delete your social media apps. Do whatever is necessary to finish that paper and stop wasting time.

3. Eat

Probably the most important one out of the entire list.  Now is not the time to deprive yourself of your cravings. Stress levels are high and you should treat yourself to whatever you please.

4. If all else fails wing it

Something is better than nothing. So you waited to the last minute to write that paper, well we all have been there at some point. Instead of going into crisis mode just do as much as you can.

5. Be Confident

Get a good nights rest, eat a pop-tart, and walk in with your head held high. This will all be over before you know it.

Target’s New Bathroom Policy:Not that Serious

target-x750

So I’m sure we’ve all heard or read about Target’s new bathroom policy and it has caused quite a stir to say the least. After reading Target’s exact statement it’s really hard to not give them snaps and say “yassssss Target,” but not everybody shares the same positive attitude about Targets new policy.

I have read quite a few articles and comments about the new policy and the main argument I have come across is the “My child is in great danger.”  People are arguing that with this policy their child is at risk of being harmed because now a male can walk into a women’s restroom freely.  Now let’s take a closer look into the situation the only thing that was stopping a man from walking into a women’s restroom before this new policy was a sign, a plastic sign.  There is no one guarding the door, there’s no penis detector there is nothing in place to stop this man from entering the restroom.  So were your kids really that safe before this new policy?  It’s hard to say just how it’s hard to say whether or not we’re going to see a spike in bathroom incidents because of this new policy.

It seems like people are jumping the gun and already have their opinions in place and are all set to boycott Target but let’s face the facts you do not I repeat you do not have to use their restroom it’s there for your convenience to have a restroom but you don’t need to use it and if you’re concerned for your children’s safety then accompanying your child can put your worries at ease.

Target didn’t create this policy to upset anybody or harm anyone they did it for exact opposite to not exclude anybody but of course everything sounds better in theory.

So before we start making assumptions of what can happen let’s just see what actually does happen.  There are bigger issues to be concerned about but genital shouldn’t be, at least not in this context.

The Perfect Body

So it’s 2016 and we’re still obsessed about having the perfect body. Our minds tend to get skewed when it comes to defining our body very much so that we start thinking insane things like, “we’re too fat, ugly, skinny.”

At what point did we let our body define who we are? At what point did we start caring so much about how our body looks that we start hurting it. We put our bodies through hell. We diet, workout, waist train, starve ourselves, get surgery, take diet pills, tan, the list goes on and on. We do all this stuff to our bodies and for what? Most people would say to get into that cute bikini, to get healthy or just for themselves which is great but is this all really necessary?

Answer is no but we are influenced by a greater power, the media. All around us we are constantly being bombarded by images of what the perfect female body should be. Social media plays a big part as well, there are so many ads on Instagram and Facebook promoting protein shakes, waist trainers, detox’s anything and everything they can do to get you to believe that if you use these products you will get the perfect body. Of course there is nothing wrong with trying to get fit and healthy but not at the cost of your health and happiness.

So what is the perfect body? The perfect body is you. Your body is the perfect body, all the things you see as imperfections all the things you want to change is what makes you the person you are. So why would you want to change that? Why would you want to change your image to look like everyone else? We are all made differently beautiful. Some of us our shorter, taller, wider, smaller, hairier, frecklier, some of us are just different. We are all beautiful in our own right.

So start loving yourself because your body is worthy of your love. You’re not imperfect you’re you and you is more than good enough. It’s time to pick up the pieces of your shattered self-image and start living.

In a world of Kim Kardashians be you.

Getting Started

FullSizeRender (1)

Have you ever wanted to do something but then thought mmm maybe not?  Well if you have you’re not alone.  The thought of putting your writing out for the world to see is pretty nerve wrecking and is something I have steered away from until now.  There are so many different blogs out there that it’s hard to set yourself apart but that is what inspired me to do this.

This blog is for the average girl.  The girl who has a thing for clothes but is on a budget, the girl who wants to get in shape and eat right but no sacrifice her animal style fries, the girl who calls her dogs her children, the girl that’s into makeup but doesn’t easy bake oven their face.

This blog is for your everyday, smart, strong, sensual woman who’s just trying to put their bra on one boob at a time.
